Product Overview

The integrated design of sealed buffer structure and steel wire armor combines high tensile strength, full water blocking, acid & alkali corrosion resistance and high-temperature tolerance, perfectly meeting severe operating conditions of engineering logging and oil & gas production logging.

Technical Description

This cable is developed for engineering logging and production logging service. Its layered structure including conductors, optical tube, insulation, inner sheath, sealing assembly, steel wire armor and outer jacket is specified as below:
  1. Conductors & Optical Fiber Tube
Power transmission conductors are stranded bare copper wires. Optical fiber tubes are integrated together with copper conductors to form a composite cable core, realizing simultaneous power supply and optical data transmission without electromagnetic interference.
  2. Insulation Layer
Each bare copper conductor is coated with high-temperature resistant special insulating material featuring reliable electrical insulation, oil resistance and thermal stability. The optical fiber tube is equipped with independent insulating cladding to prevent crosstalk between electrical signals and optical signals.
  3. Sealing & Buffer Structure
Special water-blocking sealing compounds are fully filled around the composite core. An extruded polymer inner sheath covers the integrated core as a buffer layer. The integral sealing structure blocks underground corrosive liquid, oil and sewage from penetrating inward, achieves longitudinal water resistance and absorbs external tensile and compressive impact loads.
  4. High-Strength Steel Wire Armored Layer
High-strength steel wires are wrapped outside the inner sheath as the main load-bearing protective structure. The steel wire armor provides outstanding tensile strength for repeated lowering and lifting operations downhole. It delivers excellent corrosion resistance against underground brine and acidic/alkaline media, as well as high-temperature resistance to adapt to high-temperature wellbore environments. Meanwhile, the metal armor protects the inner core from rock friction and mechanical impact damage.
  5. Outer Protective Sheath
A special high-temperature, oil and corrosion resistant outer jacket is extruded over the steel wire armor. It fully wraps the armored wires to avoid direct contact with underground sediment and corrosive fluid, further improving the cable’s overall anti-corrosion, wear-resistant and high-temperature performance, and extending service life under harsh downhole working conditions.
