Construction Description

The 11.8mm Fiber Optic Double Steel Wire Armored Logging Cable is specially designed for oil and gas well logging, downhole monitoring, and well intervention operations. The cable adopts a multi-layer structure that combines high-strength steel armor and optical fiber transmission technology to ensure excellent mechanical performance and stable data communication in harsh downhole environments.

Cable Construction (Inside to Outside)

  1. Optical Fiber Unit
    • Single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers are placed inside a stainless steel tube filled with water-blocking gel to protect the fibers from moisture, vibration, and mechanical stress.
  2. Central Strength Member
    • A high-strength steel wire rope or steel strand provides excellent tensile strength and supports deep well operations.
  3. Inner Bedding Layer
    • Special insulating and cushioning materials protect the internal components and improve structural stability.
  4. Inner Steel Wire Armor Layer
    • High-tensile galvanized steel wires are helically wound around the inner layer to provide mechanical protection and load-bearing capacity.
  5. Intermediate Separation Layer
    • A protective separator layer minimizes friction between armor layers and enhances flexibility.
  6. Outer Steel Wire Armor Layer
    • A second layer of high-strength galvanized steel wires is applied in the opposite lay direction to improve crush resistance, tensile performance, and durability.
  7. Outer Protective Coating
    • An anti-corrosion polymer coating protects the cable against abrasion, chemicals, moisture, and harsh oilfield environments.
